Inviting users and managing access
How to invite users and manage their access.
Portfolio Manager supports multiple users per account (tenant). Each user has their own login and can be granted access to the shared accounts and portfolios.
The Users list
Go to Users in the left navigation to see all users with access to your account. The grid shows each user’s name, email address, available authentication methods (Google or local password — with a 2FA indicator for local accounts that have TOTP enabled), account status, and the dates the account was created and last modified.
Status indicators
The Status column shows the current state of each user account:
- Active — the user has accepted their invitation and can log in.
- Invited — the user has been invited but has not yet accepted the invitation.
- Locked — the account has been locked after too many failed login attempts.
Inviting a new user
- Click Add User.
- Enter the user’s email address.
- Click Save to send the invitation.
The user will receive an email with a link to the Accept Invitation page. There they can set a password (or sign in with Google instead). Once they complete the flow their account is active.
Unlocking a locked account
After a number of failed login attempts an account is automatically locked. To unlock it, right-click the user and choose Unlock Account.
Removing a user
Right-click a user’s row and choose Delete. A confirmation dialog will appear. You can also select multiple users and delete them in one operation.
Deleting a user removes their access to your account but does not affect the accounts, transactions, or portfolios they were associated with.
Accepting an invitation (user perspective)
When you receive an invitation email, click the link to open the Accept Invitation page. You will be asked to set a password. Alternatively, you can use Sign in with Google if a Google account is available for your email address.
Once you complete the flow you are logged in and taken directly to your portfolios.
